You are the only surviving Sprout Scout, tasked with guiding the sprouts back to sunlight on the surface. But, the ancient sprouts have become starved for sunlight over time - an unforeseen complication. To escape to the surface and seek help, you must evade and outwit your frenemies through clever movement and trickery.


WASD or Arrow keys : Movement

Space bar : Jump.

'J' : Toggle sunlight on/off (unlocked during level one)

'K' :  Another mechanic unlocked in game

This is very nice! The sound design and atmosphere really kept me captivated. It gives off an air of mystery and intrigue.

I'm not sure if this is intended or not, but the vines tend to snag me a lot while I'm walking on top of them, which tends to get me killed. Other than that, it was very enjoyable! I'm especially impressed with the vine growth -- that part blows my mind a little, haha!

I'm realizing now I developed a habit of jumping all the time while testing, which makes things much easier. Getting by with mostly walking is still possible, but definitely harder.

Really like the concept! I would make the first level a bit easier, or at least try to make it more introductory. I wasn't sure what to do at first. Then again, if you just call it a skill issue, I wouldn't argue :P

Thanks for playing! I am a fan of having little to no tutorials, so we'll see haha.

Edit: After playing some other games, I realized that my lack of a main menu gives zero time for the player to "strap in." That and maybe a level zero where the player just walks from point A to point B might help introduce the game better.

Hey I love the idea but I can't beat the second level, not only it's very hard but it seems impossible to me, the 4th vine start growing at the same time of the 2nd and 3rd, therefore blocking the way.
